  • Develop and maintain a cohesive design strategy that aligns with Flexport’s design system.

  • Conduct user research on handling supplier data, packing list information, and supply chain strategy to gather insights and understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

  • Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to guide the design process.

  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to visualize design concepts both for stakeholder collaboration, and engineering implementation; collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.

  • Analyze feedback and data from usability tests to iterate on and refine designs.

  • Present design ideas and rationale effectively to stakeholders including executive team members.

You should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on user experience and interface design; experience with enterprise software a plus.

  • Proven experience designing complex data-driven products or applications.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team including engineers and business stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.

  • Experience with prototyping tools and usability testing methodologies.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
