Position summary T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr Engineers, Radio Frequency located in Bellevue, WA will provide radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design and optimize network coverage, performance, and capacity, and lead a team of engineers on specific projects. Serve as a technical subject matter expert and perform in depth analysis of new features and technologies. Serve as a lead technical resource for the engineering design and system performance of the T-Mobile Network, typically at a Market or Regional level. Implement a training curriculum and training network and mentor RF Engineers and Associate RF Engineers for technical growth. Develop processes and strategic approaches to problem solve and devise inter and intra team processes for system performance. Serve as KPI subject matter expert to improve network performance and supervise, monitor, and analyze statistical network performance data. Review data to determine the cause of faulty equipment and address customer and employee complaints received through information analyzer and other applications. Work with RF Engineers to evaluate and resolve complex issues and update databases with resolution or actions taken and participate with federal, state and local jurisdictions to ensure regulatory and zoning compliance. Serve as the lead resource for coverage, capacity, and performance activities and define and develop internal process used for radio network design and provide capacity planning and growth strategies. Extensive call performance analysis and optimization to determine call quality, dropped call resolution. Specific Skills Requirement - must have educational or professional experience in: Experience working with 5G and LTE technologies and their advantages over legacy 3G/2G. Experience working on spectrum in 2100 AWS, 1900 PCS, 600/700MHz, 800MHz, C-Band and 2.5GHz bands. Experience with network changes using Nokia and Ericsson OSS - NetAct, ENM, AMOS and EdenNet SON. Experience with network optimization by analyzing drive test logs using tools including Actix or Windcatcher, and conducting RF Drive test using XCAL or TEMS. Experience designing sites using RF tools including Atoll, Planet, or MapInfo. Experience monitoring network performance using tools including Tableau, Power BI, PRTS, ENIQ, or OneData. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Information Systems Engineering and Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering and Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
