Position Summary
The Psychology Department at Bellevue College is seeking applications for an ongoing pool of adjunct faculty interested in teaching psychology courses on a part-time basis. These are temporary faculty positions, typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.

Adjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis.
Quarterly remuneration for 5-credit lecture class is $5,716.52 - $6,968.62 (base salary). Compensation is prorated based on type and duration of assignments. Bellevue College can offer additional credits next term based on feedback and performance however there is no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.
Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment. All additional compensations are subject to change depending on funding and negotiated agreement.

In addition to teaching, faculty maintains office hours and may participate in department and college activities. This position is represented by the Bellevue College Association of Higher Education (BCAHE) union.
