As a Principal Product Manager Technical, you'll be at the forefront of defining the strategic vision and owning the long-term roadmap for groundbreaking products. A day in the life

In your day-to-day role as an Amazon Product Manager Technical, you'll refine and communicate the strategic vision, collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather customer feedback, work closely with scientists, designers, and engineers, stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, communicate with stakeholders, analyze complex problems, assess product performance, mentor team members, and uphold Amazon's high standards for customer satisfaction while embracing frugality and aligning decisions with Amazon's Leadership Principles.

You will be leading Industry 4.0 initiatives through New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). You will drive the development of these solutions ensuring safety, security, and efficiency. Using your strong technical and project management skills, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment, delivering results within defined parameters. As a working leader, you will lead teams to design, develop, and implement Industry 4.0 technologies focused on optimizing people, processes, and equipment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM such as computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager-Tech, Technical Program Manager, or in an Engineering role, defining strategic visions, empowering teams, and delivering innovative products and services.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience with both researching and successfully applying technology and industry trends.

  • Strong technical background to engage with development teams comprised of engineers, designers, and scientists effectively and make informed product decisions.

  • • Experience collaborating working with development teams to product design, and configure Industry 4.0 solutions for automation equipment, process, and workflow enhancements.

  • Experience defining customer needs, gathering feedback, and translating it into actionable requirements to deliver exceptional products.

  • Experience working with and influencing diverse teams, customers, and stakeholders at various levels.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster communication and cooperation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling major technology products or services including filing patents.

  • Experience shaping long-term product roadmaps and prioritizing initiatives. Strategic thinking, the ability to identify opportunities and address gaps, and making data-driven decisions.

  • Experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Experience creating product roadmaps for new technology development and implementation.

  • Experience in successfully leading NPI and PLM for Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
