Position Summary

 

Perform parking enforcement in campus parking lots. Issue parking citations for all violations of the College's parking policy. Provide customer service duties including directing students, employees, and visitors to appropriate parking location as well as providing directions around campus. Provide assistance with parking meters. Assist Public Safety Officers with other parking and related issues. Only students of Bellevue College are eligible to apply.

 

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

 

Pay rate: $17/hour

 

The successful candidate is expected to work 19 hours per week. This position typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.

 

This position is expected to NOT be eligible for benefits because eligibility is limited only to employees working at least an average of 80 hours in eligible employment for more than 6 consecutive months and at least 8 hours a month. About the Department

 

The Bellevue College (BC) Public Safety Department's well-trained and courteous staff provides personal safety, security, crime prevention, preliminary investigations, and other services to the campus community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Public Safety staff provide non-violent crisis intervention during incidents or confrontational situations. All Public Safety staff are trained in basic CPR and emergency response for major incidents (e.g., Weather Conditions, Earthquake, Medical Emergency, Power Failure, Fire, Evacuation Procedures, Acts of Violence, Hazardous Substances, Bomb Threats, Weapons Use or Threats).
