Library & Archives Paraprofessional, Part-time Hourly Job ID: 14559 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Part Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Position Summary Assist in maintaining library and circulation desk operations including opening and closing, assist patrons with locating, retrieving, and checking out materials. Provide excellent customer service, explaining and applying library policies and procedures. Participate in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and productive environment for library users, BC students, faculty, and staff. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Pay rate: $17.03/hour - $22.49/hour The successful candidate is expected to work 16 hours per week. This position typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $20.00 / hour. The temporary hourly employment is limited to the earlier of 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months beginning from the original date of hire. Per https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-04-045, following 1,050 hours or 12 consecutive months, an individual is not eligible for re-employment at Bellevue College in another temporary part-time hourly position. Temporary hourly employees who work more than three hundred fifty (350) hours in a twelve consecutive month period may be subject to provisions of one the collective bargaining agreements covering Classified employees at Bellevue College. This position is expected to NOT be eligible for benefits because eligibility is limited only to employees working at least an average of 80 hours in eligible employment for more than 6 consecutive months and at least 8 hours a month.
