Interim Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs Job ID: 14325 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Position Summary The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) reports to the Provost (Vice President of Academic Affairs/Senior Academic Officer), overseeing the quality and integrity of Bellevue College's academic offerings. The AVPAA leads efforts in program development, ensuring alignment with the college's mission to promote student achievement, teaching excellence, and equity. The AVPAA supervises academic operations, academic supports, curriculum and assessment, grants, the Center of Excellence, and accreditation, while supporting divisional deans in their leadership roles. Leading a team of exempt and classified staff, the AVPAA's role is highly visible and demanding, requiring regular interaction with all levels of the college community - from students and faculty to senior administration. The position ensures that academic programs meet the diverse needs of students while contributing to the social, cultural, and economic vitality of the region. This is an interim position and expected to end on 06/30/2025. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Position Salary Range: $128,154/year - $192,231/year The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $144,173/year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule. We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components.
