Position Summary

 

Reporting to the Science Division Director of Operations and in collaboration with the Computer Science (CS) Chair, the Computer Science Program Manager leads strategic outreach and program expansion efforts to enhance the visibility and growth of the Computer Science programs, the 4-year Bachelor of Science, and the CS Transfer program. The Program Manager supports the entire Computer Science program, including the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, the CS Transfer program, and all specializations developed within the program.

 

The Program Manager develops, plans and administers academic advising for all the students enrolled in the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree program. The Program Manager oversees administrative aspects of the program. This includes budget development, and supervision of hourly staff/student employees.

The Computer Science Program Manager also contributes to the program's lead efforts in developing industry partnerships, educational institutions, and underrepresented communities in Computer Science and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

 

This role also manages the selective admissions application and review process for the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Program. This position is responsible for admission policy and oversight, decision-making, communication with applicants about admissions decision and meeting enrollment targets for newly admitted students. Also, the Program Manager tracks success metrics such as enrollment targets, retention rates, and student satisfaction surveys to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

 

Additionally, the Computer Science Program Manager is responsible for program marketing, departmental recommendations and provides requested support to the Chair, the faculty and students to achieve success in an environment that values diversity and pluralism. This position also generates reports for student data including educational status and progress. This position also reports out on different program projects ensuring the program's operational efficiency and growth.

 

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

 

Position Salary Range: $76,113/year - $110,364/year

 

The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than $84,676/year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule.

The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which means that you are not eligible for overtime pay.
