Aerotek Tooling Technician in Bellevue, Ohio

Job Title: Tooling Technician - UP TO $34/HR!

Job Description

The Tooling Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition. The role involves setting up tools for production runs, diagnosing and resolving issues, and modifying or fabricating tools as needed. The technician will maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaboration with engineers, production managers, and other technicians is essential to optimize tooling performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect tools and equipment to identify wear, damage, or malfunctions.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to keep tools in optimal working condition.

  • Set up tools and equipment for production runs, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.

  • Inspect new tools according to company standards.

  • Diagnose issues with tools and equipment during production and implement solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Modify existing tools or fabricate new ones to meet specific production needs, using machines like lathes, mills, and grinders.

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, tool usage, and repairs.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are compliant with safety and quality standards.

  • Work closely with engineers, production managers, and other technicians to optimize tooling performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 3-5 years of previous tooling experience.

  • Experience in using machining tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines.

  • Understanding of tooling principles, materials, and processes.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and climate-controlled. Training will be provided for a minimum of 4 weeks, and the team is currently working 5-10 hours of overtime per week.
