Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, assigning, directing and coordinating all activities related to shift operations, including safety, quality, production and employee relations.

Principal Accountabilities

The functions below are not all inclusive of the duties for this position. Other responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.

  1. Strong leadership skills including ability to hold direct reports accountable for their objectives.

  2. Direct hourly employees’ activities and manage tasks striving for a safe working environment, high quality, and continuous improvement.

  3. Provide Shift goals and assignments for each work area/individual during pre-shift meetings.

  4. Train to and manage training procedures and records for hourly employees.

  5. Be an active safety ambassador and provide guidance and leadership on the floor to promote a safe work environment.

  6. Maintain good housekeeping throughout the plant Practice 6S.

  7. Ensure process control and running rate (among other factors) on the production lines to meet OEE goals. Performs weekly facility audits.

  8. Generates hold/reject disposition forms when needed.

  9. Records and manages employee overtime, vacation and disciplinary records. Provides feedback to employees when disciplinary action is needed.

  10. Provides annual reviews to all hourly personnel.

  11. Provides 30-60-90 reviews on all new employees.

  12. Recommends promotions as employees’ knowledge and skillsets improve.

  13. Reviews all production packets completed on their shift and signs off for accuracy. Follows up with production if packet does not meet requirements.

  14. Signs off on ALL changeovers on your shift.

  15. Reviews Rockware daily to ensure accuracy of reporting.

  16. Reviews and confirms ADP timekeeper entries.

  17. Direct and manage inventory regarding FIFO and scrap reduction.

  18. Strive towards having a workable knowledge of all manufacturing processes in the facility.

  19. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  1. Strong Safety Acumen. Ability to recognize hazards and unsafe behaviors.

  2. Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead teams and provide support to achieve targeted metrics.

  3. Previous Supervisory experience is a plus (Internal plant production will be considered)

  4. Understanding of the compounding and 3DP manufacturing and blending processes.

  5. Strong computer skills. Example: Rockware, word, excel, etc

  6. Excellent communication skills

  7. Reliability, dependability, and attendance record must be excellent.

  8. Ability to handle multi-task environment while being goal oriented.

  9. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  10. Must be willing to work any shift and be available to cover for vacations and illnesses.

  11. Must be self-motivated and be able to work under stressful conditions at times.

  12. Active member of safety team/continuous improvement team

  13. CPR and First Aid certification a plus.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

The salary range for this position is $73,050 - $91,312. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
