Job Description
TheSeasonal PGM Internwill be responsible for providing the highest level of guest service, while maintaining the golf car fleet, staging area, practice facility in an appealing manner while also operating golf tournaments, player check in, retail sales, golf shop merchandising and contributing to our Junior Golf Program.
Responsibilities
Enthusiastic greeting of guests (by name if possible)
Speak with guests in a friendly, warm manner making them feel welcome
Display conduct in an appropriate manner at all times in accordance with the Omni Hotels
Utilize a working knowledge of club operations
Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
Perform duties and meet requirements for tournaments, club rentals and services which the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Professionals deems necessary.
Promote the interests of the resort in providing service to the guest.
Provide a guest friendly environment
HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to operate the hand-held radio communication device
Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow staff members, valet and bell staff
Must be knowledgeable in trail access locations, bike rentals and appropriate fishing locations
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Assist in other departments as needed
Attend monthly departmental meetings
Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Passion for and Knowledge of the game of golf
Currently desiring a career in the field of golf, with an ultimate goal of becoming a PGA Professional
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work successfully in a highly team-oriented atmosphere
Must be able to work a rotating schedule including weekends, holidays, AM/PM Shifts
