Position Overview:

The Chemical Production Supervisor is a key leader responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production workers to meet production goals, ensuring that everyone is aligned with company standards and objectives.

  • Production Management: Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that schedules are followed, and production quotas are met. Monitor and adjust workflow and manpower to meet changing production demands.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the company\'s quality standards. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety guidelines and regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resources.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, generate daily and weekly reports, and provide updates to the Production Manager on key metrics such as efficiency, downtime, and yield.

  • Team Development: Support the development and training of production staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and teamwork.

  • Problem-Solving: Quickly address and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring that production goals are not compromised.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED and equivalent experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). preferred 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience in working with chemicals or chemical manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
