Description POSITION SUMMARY As the Vice President at Liberty Paper, you will lead and manage the paper mill team and provide vision, leadership, and day to day management. This leader is responsible for meeting business objectives and customer requirements with a focus on product and process excellence for our paper mill. You will lead and manage the business in a manner that will produce desired revenue growth with the balanced interests of all stakeholders. This position reports directly to our CEO and is located at the Liberty Paper facility in Becker, MN. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the senior leader for Liberty Paper; provide direct leadership to mill team including mill operations, technical services, sales, procurement, also including dotted line leadership for finance and human resources. Plan, develop, organize, and execute the Liberty Paper growth focused business plan to meet company financial and strategic objectives Responsible for the overall P&L results which includes cost saving measures and overall growth Responsible for the Capital Strategy; establish long term capital plan, annual budgets, evaluation/justification of capital spend, and accountability that the desired projects were achieved. Work collaboratively across the Liberty Diversified International organization including Liberty Packaging leadership Manage resources to effectively balance strategic objectives with financial return and the efficient use of assets Ensures manufacturing schedule attainment is meeting customer service expectations, cost and quality considerations Work closely with sales team and customers to analyze, plan, and implement new opportunities Lead the development and implementation of all safety policies and programs with EHS team to promote a culture of safety Lead the organizational environmental and product stewardship management systems to ensure compliance to regulator requirements and stewardship. Establish and maintain customer and other related business relationships; participate in key customer and supplier visits and calls Manage employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance challenged in a prompt and professional manner Represent Liberty Paper in the community, maintain relationship with City Officials to ensure that the city infrastructure can support future growth targets. Other duties, as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Bachelor's degree in management, operations or related field required 10+ years of senior leadership experience in general management, plant management or senior level functional experience (working in multiple functional area including sales, marketing, distribution, and finance) within a manufacturing environment necessary Paper mill or closely related industry experience Significant operational and continuous improvement experience Strong management/leadership skills and ability/willingness to sponsor change Effective communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization Strong customer focus High personal standards with a proven track record of integrity, business ethics, and professionalism Action orientation with initiative to achieve results PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
