Nike Sourcing Manager, Technology Procurement in Beaverton, Oregon

The Technology Procurement team partners with Global Technology teams, business teams, and other collaborators to drive continuity of supply and competitive commercial terms for technology solutions (software, hardware, platforms, etc.) used to power the business of Nike, Inc.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager within Technology Procurement who will be part of a dynamic, impactful team of sourcing professionals supporting Nike’s strategic technology initiatives. The Sourcing Manager must have rich procurement experience, preferably in the technology sector. They are highly organized, able to balance and prioritize multiple initiatives at one time, adept at project management, able to influence partners, good with data, and experienced negotiators.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The Sourcing Manager will advise and support Nike’s business leaders during all phases of the sourcing life-cycle. They will master, communicate, and execute Nike’s strategic sourcing process. They measure value captured, report performance, engage support from legal and finance teams, and implement sourcing initiatives using a suite of advanced sourcing and contract management tools. They are proficient in spend analysis, risk management, contracting, cost savings methodology, performance reporting, collaborator engagement, and use of strategic sourcing tools.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The Sourcing Manager is part of the Technology Procurement team and reports directly to the Director, Technology Procurement. They sit within the Global Procurement function and work closely with peers within that function. The Sourcing Manager will forge strong relationships with key partners in Global Technology to support sourcing needs. They will also have frequent interaction with teammates in Legal and Finance functions. This opportunity will provide the Sourcing Manager with opportunities to interact, present, and influence senior leaders to gain support for key initiatives and strategies.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3- 5 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs

  • Curiosity in the intersection of business and technology

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Procurement, preferably in technology sector

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Great teammate with strong influencing skills

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from data

  • Strong project management and time management skills

  • Strong negotiator
