Nike Senior Designer, Nike Branded + Signature Basketball Apparel Product Design in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This designer will report into the Nike Basketball Apparel Design Director and will work alongside a team who oversees Branded Basketball and Signature Athlete apparel for Men’s. This role requires experience developing and managing cross-functional relationships with Athletes, Graphic Designers, Product Management & Merchandising, Material/Trim Development, Technical Development and Sourcing teams. This role requires translating consumer insights and trends. The right candidate for this role understands that the best way to predict the future is to create it. This role will not have any direct reports.

You have a strong familiarity with digital apparel design skills – CLO3D preferred.

You have familiarity with AI and digital drawing and mark-making (Adobe Suite).

You can walk and talk, spin multiple plates at once and doesn’t sweat spilled milk.

You are familiar with building process and coalition through collaboration, influencing buy-in and publishing best-practices.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related design field or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a design environment working with materials, textiles, trims, design and fit.

  • You have an Outstanding ability to apply and perform foundational design skills, including drawing/sketching, illustrations across analog and digital platforms.

  • You are Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, concept ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout.

  • You have a Comprehensive understanding of textile construction, and knowledgeable in fabric structures, with an emphasis in performance wovens and engineered knits.

  • You have Relevant Apparel/Fashion/Design Experience through on-job training and strong portfolio representation. Extra consideration will be given to those with a background in sport performance and sport style innovation.

This candidate will be our lead designer on our Global Signature Athlete collections while contribute to World-Building Nike Basketball through exploring Innovation and Elite Performance.
