*Lifesteps is hiring several Full-Time or Part-time Childcare Assistants to work at the Daycare and Preschool in Beaver, PA. *

*Child Care staff *(also known as Assistant Group Supervisors) work an 8 hour shift Monday through Friday, daylight hours, with No Weekends and No Holidays.      Part-time staff can work 6 to 8 hours several days per week.    Flexible scheduling is available for part-time.

Job duties include:

• the care and supervision of children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years old
• assisting with lesson planning and creating fun activities
• supervising indoor and outdoor play time
• inform parents about the child's day
• Nurture and cuddle the infants and teach the preschool age children

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children - can be paid or unpaid work such as Summer Camps, Church Nursery, Babysitting, Bible School, Volunteering with children, etc. 
• Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
• Ability to provide acceptable state and FBI clearances
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field  --  OR  -- 
• Associates Degree in the above majors or Psychology, Criminal Justice, Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Rehabilitation, etc.
