Job Description:
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus!
The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, to assist them in their day to day tasks to prepare and dispense pharmaceutical drugs in accordance with standards, State and Federal laws, and department policies and procedures. The Pharmacy Technician interacts cooperatively and courteously with co-workers and healthcare providers to provide customers and patients excellent customer service with each request.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: High School graduate or equivalent.
Preferred/Optional: Associate of Pharmacy Technician degree or a Pharmacy Technician diploma.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: One year customer service experience.
Preferred/Optional: Two years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Knowledge of Wisconsin pharmacy law and third party reimbursement rules.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure or an application for pharmacy technician registration or licensure will be accepted if it is in pending status by the first date of employment. Registration/licensure must be obtained within 6 months. Registration/licensure must remain in good standing and current.
Preferred/Optional: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certificate accredited by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).

Shifts vary between the following hours of operation:
Mon-Fri 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
Sat-Sun 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Holidays 8:00am to 12:00 pm
Weekend rotation is on a 3 week rotation or as per department needs.
Staff are required to work 1 to 2 holidays per year on a rotating basis or as per department need
