Eaton Corporation Senior Order Management Product Owner in Beachwood, Ohio

Eaton’s Corporate IT team is seeking a Senior Order Management Product Owner to support the global Order Management / fulfillment domain. The preferred location for this position is our corporate office in Beachwood, OH, but our major IT hubs in the US, including Moon Township, PA, Raleigh, NC, Menomonee Falls, WI, Galesburg, MI, Houston, TX could be considered. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Up to 25% travel is required.

What you’ll do:

This person will maximize the value of the product offering by creating, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog within the domain. The position oversees multiple products, either directly or by managing other product owners. Responsibilities include establishing and supporting the product vision, aligning strategic business objectives with senior leaders, developing and maintaining the product roadmap, and defining key operational processes such as the product release schedule. In a highly matrixed environment with sector, functional, and regional leadership partnerships, this role requires close collaboration with business partners and customers to define epics that align with key business objectives for the Scrum or Kanban team and involves communicating strategy and status at the C level.

The role includes managing and directing the daily priorities of multiple Product Teams, including analysts, engineers, and Product Owners, to deliver business outcomes for their product area. The Product Line Owner will track and manage product funding, define work priorities, and balance new features against continuous improvement, system health, and support. Working directly with multiple product teams to execute the product roadmap, guide the product development lifecycle, define user stories, and represent the voice of the customer within product processes and across relevant portfolios and business units is essential.

In this role, you will:

• Own and prioritize the product backlog, manage user stories, and oversee continuous improvement efforts.

• Plan, manage, and monitor product funding and team time allocation, assuming full responsibility for the product budget and profit plan.

• Lead and coach a team of IT professionals, enhancing their skills and performance.

• Develop and maintain product personas and customer journeys.

• Engage with stakeholders and customers to understand their priorities, define business outcomes, and establish KPIs.

• Communicate goals for product increments, releases, and set objectives for team sprints.

• Support the onboarding process for internal and external resources.

• Ensure accountability for product support, stability, and governance, covering aspects like data, policy, cybersecurity, and usage.

• Act as a functional expert across Eaton's portfolio and business units.

• Drive the definition and improvement of product processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps).

• Understand commercial, business, and go-to-market strategies.

• Promote a Secure Product Development Lifecycle with a strong cybersecurity focus.

• Manage contracts with vendors to support the product strategy and oversee vendor relationships.

• Provide thought leadership and guide the product's strategic vision and execution.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management

• Minimum 3 years in a management or leadership role with direct responsibility for the day to day responsibilities and long term career development of a team

• Proven experience leveraging product development lifecycles, Lean, Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a related field.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or similar.

• Experience in a manufacturing/retail/related industry or sector.

• Experience with customer journey mapping and persona development.

• Familiarity with go-to-market strategies and commercial planning.

• Proven track record of driving product innovation and strategic vision.

Skills:

• Proven experience managing product backlogs, prioritization, and release planning in an Agile environment.

• Experience successfully leading cross-functional teams, including analysts, engineers, and product owners.

• Proven experience successfully articulating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to manage product funding, budgets, and financial plans.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure product development practices.

• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other product management software.

• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.

• Experience defining and tracking KPIs and business outcomes on a regular basis

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97 - $225499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
