McLaren Health Care Supervisor Security - McLaren Careers in Bay City, Michigan
Position Summary:
Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who help maintain the safety of people and buildings/facilities. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees work activities. May be involved in monitoring security equipment, assembling, documenting abnormal occurrences at the location, and training of security teams.
Provides input into the development of department policies and procedures. Ensures employees maintain current knowledge of procedures. Assists in meeting the business, financial, customer, service quality and regulatory requirements of the area.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

methods for

services;

staff;

resources
accordingly.
Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Meets standards by contributing security/safety information to strategic plans and reviews; implements quality, and customer-service standards; resolves problems.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate degree in criminal justice, business or other related or equivalent experience.

Completion of International Association of Hospital Security and Safety Basic Security Officer and Supervisory and Safety training certification programs within the first year of employment.

One year security experience in a healthcare facility.
·
Four

ears
of
increasingly
responsible
security
expe
r
ience
including
so
m
e
lead
superviso
r
y
experience.
·
Criminal free record.
·
Valid state driver’s license, which meets company’s insurance requirements.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security administration, or related field.
Three years of progressive supervisory experience in a health care environment.
