Qualus Document Control Specialist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Position Overview

Provide administrative support and CST document control support to Project Director, Project Manager, Project/Commissioning Engineer (P/CE) and site CST and QA team members.
Set up project CST filing system and folders as needed.
Store, manage, and track all relative documentation including version tracking and control.
Perform document quality audits and perform corrections for folder and file naming, misinformation, spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors.
Coordinate all documentation, including non-CST files, to ensure consistency for filing and retrieval.
Generate various document control reports as required.
Receive documentation from contractor in various formats and convert as necessary for internal distribution and review.
Coordinate issues between contractor and client in regard to document delivery and distribution.
Maintain project and documentation confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Ability to work in construction field office and site environment.
Ability to comply with project and corporate safety requirements including use of proper PPE on site.
Maintain CST walk down schedule, records and punch list.
Coordinate utility resources with P/CE for contractor scheduled CTE walk downs.
Review CTE walk down notes, drawing markups and punch list entries to update and archive hardcopies of walk down records.
Update and archive all electronic copies of CTC documentation.
Review approvals for completeness and signatures, maintain hard and electronic copies.
Maintain master CST turnover wall chart and statistic logs.
Develop statistical record for number of systems, percent complete, percent in progress and percent remaining for CTC and CTEMaintain manual chart with schedule information, walk down dates, participant, and notes.
Review contractual requirements to set up and maintain EPC record of compliance and documentation for mechanical completion and performance testing.
Review EPC contractor MAP documentation and coordinate with utility project personnel for approval and sign off.
Qualifications
Knowledge and proficiency in electronic documentation software and system including MSWord, MSExcel, MSSharePoint, and contractor PMIS iDOCS.
Experience in setting up and reviewing document naming and numbering formats to ensure consistency per project and work group standards.
Experience and knowledge in engineering drawing and documentation standards (general), nomenclature and engineering disciplines to ensure naming, numbering, and archiving are maintained accordingly.
Experience in field records review for quality assurance and completeness and the ability to identify document deficiencies for escalation.
Communication skills to facilitate information and document exchange between contractor(s) and the utility.
