Description

Robert Half has an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk with our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position falls within the Health Pharm/Biotech industry where you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of our records. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department, ensuring compliance with company policies

• Process, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks in a timely and accurate manner

• Provide excellent customer service to internal business partners, resolving any issues that may arise

• Assist in both internal and external audits as required

• Ensure daily department mail is opened, sorted, and distributed

• Log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents, maintaining a well-organized record system

• Verify, log, and mail checks, including those requiring special handling

• Execute daily processes and controls accurately and timely

• Undertake special projects as assigned by the management

Requirements

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Competence in account reconciliation and invoice processing

• Knowledge of accounts payable principles and best practices

• Ability to run checks and code invoices accurately

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

• High degree of integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information
