The objective of the Process Control Technician is to develop and implement procedures to maintain and continually improve product and process quality. Be a change agent for process improvement and standardization efforts. Lead efforts to maintain certifications for ISO and Food Safety as well as relevant customer qualifications. Provide support for other Quality and Manufacturing efforts that pertain to customer quality and satisfaction. Why work at MCC: Compensation: $22.00 hourly + $2.00 shift premium Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Year, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating Holidays Promotion opportunities Night shift 12 hour rotation 6pm - 6am Responsibilities: Serve as an ISO and/or Food Safety auditor on a local plant level and other Food & Beverage facilities as well. Responsible for the maintenance of ISO and FSSC documentation at the plant level. Primary "point-of-contact" for internal and external (customer complaint's inclusive) investigation of non-conformances to include interaction with process owners and Senior Management with the end result being the determination of root cause and corrective actions that may require training. Responsible for analysis of color evaluations, graphics, aesthetics, and run-ability parameters in the plant. Serve as the plant's SME (subject matter expert) for the quality data collection system. Proficient in the Company's Business System Quality Module with special emphasis on "roll tracing". Responsible for the completion of customer specific COAs and data collection when it is part of a customer's requirement (i.e. CBI). Training new Quality employees or retraining current employee in the use of all gauges and measurement equipment as it relates to internal and external "fitness for use" critical characteristics. Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of the Company. Serve as back-up for the Quality Manager. Available to help cover for and/or support the Quality Technicians. Additional responsibilities related to customer quality and to support the overall quality effort as needed. Ensure that Food Safety Policies and practices are followed and understood. Qualifications: Excellent communication skills to include verbal, written, and presentation skills. Experience utilizing Practice Problem Solving tools to include FMEA, 8D, Cause & Effect (Fishbone), 5 Why, Pareto Charts, Design of Experiment (DOE). Excellent working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent math and statistical skills. Experience with HACCP and GMPs. Ability to manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Highly organized, detail oriented, and data driven. Capable of assembling a clear and operational document to describe a process, based on the Company's ISO format and training of that procedure. Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth. Must be willing to work any shift and overtime as warranted. Must be willing to travel to support the Company's objectives.
