Type: Full-Time Permanent (Classified) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime) Bargaining Unit: No Probationary Period: 120 Days Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications/experience (Minimum rate $18.64) Deadline to Apply: Open through 9/22/24 or until filled (Applicants reviewed weekly) JOB DUTIES: Under general supervision of Employment Services supervisor, is responsible for all Ohio Works First (OWF) Work Activities, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) employment and training, Comprehensive Case Management Employment Program (CCMEP) or Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) eligibility and employment service activities from referral through completion of all program related activities. Interview referrals to determine eligibility, gather documentation required for each program, conduct initial assessment and reassessments of required participants, volunteers, and customers applying for classroom/on-the-job training services and/or public assistance benefits to develop employment plans; suitability determination for job readiness; career and training services; supportive services;; and, identify employment barriers and participant capabilities and limitations. Perform employment and career counseling; enroll customers in appropriate activities and programs; prepare, execute and distribute Individual Training Accounts (ITA) for classroom training; and prepare referrals to training programs and other agencies as appropriate. Prepares customer registration as required in internal computer systems (CRISE/OIES/OWCMS/CFIS); prepares letters of enrollment verifications and emergency funds; performs obligations and de-obligations of individual accounts. Provides ongoing consultation, guidance, and direction to program participants. Assigns participants and volunteers as required by all programs to Education and Training, Work Experience Program, Community Service, Job Search/Job Readiness and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) to resolve employment service related issues. Maintains case notes and communicates with the Public Assistance program area and Youth Service provider staff as needed. Monitor, track, report, and enter data on all program participants in internal computer systems (CRISE/OIES/OWCMS/ CFIS/OhioMeansJobs systems.)
