What you'll be doing...A key member of Verizon HQ Device Technology group, responsible for developing and maintaining technical requirements and test plans to meet network and customer requests as well as over the development and deployment of new services with the focus on UICC/eUICC and 5G.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
In-depth knowledge of: Device behavior in 4G and 5G; eUICC security such as authentication, PKI and RSP; Wireless network and interaction with systems such as SIM OTA and IMS; Industry standards and certification processes
Ability to write technical requirements and understand required changes to existing documents to address customer needs
Ability to identify test scenarios and corner cases
Ability to work independently and decisively to drive new features and function through multiple stakeholders
This role requires the ability to adapt and address unforeseen issues that will arise as new features and functions are developed
This role also requires the ability to work with multiple groups, both internally and externally to drive feature and functions to full deployment
You enjoy the process of understanding, isolating and solving problems with the intent of improving how things are done. You understand and like design engineering solutions within large, complex projects and engaging multiple stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering development environment. You are flexible, dependable and work well in varying environments.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Telecommunications experience in mobile embedded systems and products is required
Development and debug experience on mobile devices with USIM, ISIM, CSIM support
Good understanding of relevant 3GPP, GSMA, and Global Platform standards
Good understanding of Secure Element architecture and SIM alliance Open API
Excellent communication and advanced presentation skills
Strong design skills and problem solving capabilities
Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion
The ability to work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects
Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a "win-win" approach
Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
