The Simulator Technician applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include isolating malfunctions, incorporating engineering changes, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments and computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.

Education and Experience

Three years related experience in simulation systems, engineering, or other industries troubleshooting electronic/mechanical equipment.?Thorough knowledge of the use of electronic testing, monitoring, and repair tools.Must understand Aircraft and Weapon Systems.

Supervisory Responsibility This position will not have authority or responsibility for the leadership and supervision of others.?

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position will be on site and will require adherence to the Government site hours of operation. This position is a full-time hourly non-exempt position, expected to 40 hours a week. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the Government site hours of operations when Program support is needed.

Travel Significant travel is not expected for this position.

Security Clearance Must have an active DoD Secret Personnel Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one within the first 6-months of employment.
