Position summary: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Customer Training Specialist to lead customer training programs and develop and commercialize solutions for the High Performance Chromatography Solutions (HPCS) business within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (CMD) division. This pivotal role develops, implements, and completes the commercialization of solutions to support customers in late-stage Analytical Development (AD) and QA/QC. The goal is to ensure the success of both our organization and our customers' business objectives. This role will be responsible for supporting key customer excellence projects from inception to impactful execution with end-user customers, building relationships and trust, and ultimately supporting commercial success.

A day in the Life:
As the Customer Training Specialist, you will ensure that our teams adhere to product development and program management standard methodologies. You will drive overall project execution and ensure design control standards are met, and ensure program budget adherence. Key Objectives:
Build training and support programs with the objective of driving customer experience with our products and solutions.
Own the definition, development, and delivery of customer training and education solutions and strategic business programs.
The projects will initially prioritize excellence in post-sale customer training but will extend to other customer touchpoints in the future.
Partner with cross-functional teams to successfully plan and carry out customer education and training plans (super user training).
The role will focus on our Liquid Chromatography product range, including related products and services, which form part of a complete customer solution.
Lead Customer Excellence Training solutions projects in partnership with program management team.
You will be encouraged to establish and supervise content for marketing/product management teams, conduct trainings, and empower internal colleagues to deliver a well-rounded customer solution.
This role is fundamental to build trust and confidence in our solutions to support and drive commercial success in key Pharma and Biopharma accounts.
Partner with marketing, product management, and the bio/pharma beyond discovery vertical team to develop long-term strategic plans.
Ability to travel as needed for projects, meetings, and onsite customer trainings, 30-50% depending on location relative to sites.
Keys to Success:
Education
- Bachelor's degree or experience in Engineering, Technical Business, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience
3+ years of Liquid Chromatography product management or training experience.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical late-stage development or regulated environment preferable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of LC method development or method transfer, highly beneficial.
Experience leading projects through a matrixed organization.
Customer Care or Customer Success experience beneficial.
Strong leadership skills.
Proficient in delivering effective presentations.
Strong attention to details and technical skills.
Proficient organizational and technical skills.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $68,200.00–$102,250.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
