We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time (40 hours/week; benefits eligible) Clinical Therapist to join our Family Enrichment Team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health care and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic services. The outpatient therapist will provide culturally competent mental health services to individuals and families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns. You will have the availability to work with patients full-time both, in-person and virtually through telehealth.

Location: Bangor, Maine

Clinical Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Work with adults and/or children, establishing rapport, orchestrating appropriate treatment plans and networking with other providers to ensure quality and continuity of care

  • Assess the mental and behavioral health status of the client, formulate short-term and long-term counseling plans by identifying the needs of the individual.

  • Maintain appropriate documentation of services to meet requirements for medical records documentation. Review and/or complete assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, 90-day progress notes and discharge summaries in compliance with all pertinent Medicaid and licensing regulations.

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries per policies and procedures.

Clinical Therapist Requirements:

  • Master’s degree, and must be fully or conditionally licensed LCSW, LCPC, LMSW-cc, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist with the State of Maine, and up to 12 months of experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

  • Must have a valid Maine driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation.

  • Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The salary range for this position is $ 58,829-88,243 commensurate with experience and qualifications. Those with related education and experience are encouraged to apply.
