We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager specializing in water and wastewater projects. This position will operate on the assigned job site within the Mid-Atlantic region, from Baltimore down to Virginia Beach.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.

• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.

• Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties/responsibilities, and authority.

• Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of the project, arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.

• Review project proposal or plan to determine the timeframe, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements, and available resources to various phases of the project.

• Review status reports from project personnel and modify schedules/plans as needed.

• Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.

• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

• Coordinate project activities with activities of governmental agencies and subcontractors.

• Understand and analyze CPM-based project schedules.

• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built safely, on schedule, and within budget.

• Represent the company in Owner progress meetings.

• Manage financial aspects of contracts and responsible for project profit or loss.

• Lead project team in daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.

Essential Skills

• Experience with water and wastewater construction

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

• 10+ years’ experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management

• PE credentialing is a strong plus but not required

• Proficiency in project management and CPM-based project schedules

Work Environment

This position will work out of construction trailers on-site for water/wastewater construction projects within the Mid-Atlantic region. Benefits include profit sharing, car allowance and/or vehicle negotiation, and housing credit and/or per diem negotiation.
