Description We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our established team in BALTIMORE, Maryland. The selected individual will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks including the creation of financial reports, account reconciliations, and managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role provides a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and statements accurately to aid in strategic decision making.

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheets to maintain financial accuracy.

• Support payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely salary disbursements.

• Record transactions to the General Ledger as part of the accounting cycle.

• Create and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial record keeping.

• Utilize intermediate spreadsheet skills for efficient data management and analysis.

• Issue checks as part of the disbursement process.

• Participate in month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar capacity

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Ability to accurately handle Journal Entries

• Experience in conducting Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation
