Purpose of Role

This role is responsible for aligning, aggregating and facilitating discussions to build the long-range global & seasonal category strategies for Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories in support of product category teams, regional merchants and key cross-functional and commercial partners, to achieve UA revenue and profitability goals

Your Impact

  • Support the alignment and facilitation of setting UA targets and metrics for in-market performance through the Merchandising lens across all regions.

  • Partner with Category leaders on seed / scale / maximize strategy of technologies across categories

  • Review lifecycle management across categories to ensure effective and efficient policies and timing

  • Drive portfolio efficiency and consistency of the line at the division-gender level (e.g., article duplication, pricing inconsistencies, and technology positioning inconsistencies), by spot checking and partner with GMP to deliver this data to Portfolio Category leaders or Category leaders.

  • Be the key owner of briefs and deliverables for technologies, collections, or segments of the business that cut across categories

  • Support the alignment and facilitation of setting UA targets and metrics for in-market performance through the Merchandising lens across all regions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or typically 14 years of relevant experience without degree.

  • Demonstrated track record of leadership in merchandising, business growth, influencing cross functional teams and driving process improvement.

  • Proven ability to develop profitable merchandising strategies and collaborate effectively across internal teams and various functions in the organization.

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, fostering a collaborative environment that drives outstanding results.

  • Strong understanding of global market trends, consumer behavior, and fashion industry dynamics.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing product lines and driving process improvements.

  • Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Proficiency in product lifecycle management software and tools.

  • Decisive and resolute in decision-making, even in ambiguous situations.

  • Strategic thinker with a keen eye for fashion trends, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering products, stories and technologies that uphold our brand values and standards.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, Maryland office.

  • Return to Work Designation: Three (3) days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Relocation

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

$126,810.00 - $174,364.30 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
