Position Description:

CGI Federal has an immediate need for a Sr Business Analyst to join our Health and Social Services Practice. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing the business needs of customers and stakeholders to help identify business problems and propose solutions and ensure that projects are properly prioritized and that task deadlines are enforced. The successful candidate will interface with clients, stakeholders, and teams to create business requirements and user stories, and perform analysis throughout the Agile lifecycle.

This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Overall design of application and mapping client business requirements from the project team to systems/technical requirements.

• Work with clients to assess current state processes and tools

• Identify ServiceNow platform solution options

• Perform requirements gathering, document user stories.

• Work closely with developers to implement the functionality.

• Conduct testing and demos.

• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders.

• May need to act as Scrum Masters and manage scrum teams.

• Exhibit strong communication, documentation and organization skills and experience in a direct customer facing role.

• Understand operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.

• Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, write specifications.

• Identify problems and write improved procedures.

• Develop estimates to help establish project budget.

• Monitor project process by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

• Prepare technical reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

• Produce concise, accurate requirements documentation, user stories, acceptance test criteria

• Identify and validate clients’ business needs and requirements.

• Attend validation sessions with the client and stakeholders to identify business system/process needs, and functional and system requirements.

• Analyze and develop system workflows based on business understanding to be used for validation.

• Collaborate with the development and testing team to ensure implementation business, functional and system requirements.

• Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments using JIRA to manage tickets within Confluence to understand, visualize and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, business administration or a related field OR a Master’s Degree (in subjects described above) from an accredited college or university

• Must have 8+ years of work experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines / technologies / processes related to the position.

• 3+ years working with ServiceNow and in an Agile environment on complex projects.

• Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.

• Strong knowledge and experience with software development teams in an Agile environment.

• Experience coordinating multiple teams in a technology environment.

• Experience creating User stories, acceptance criteria and providing demos to clients and Users of systems.

• Must be experienced in DME and O&M environments and be able to manually test systems, applications, functional and non functional requirements

• Familiarity or experienced using automated testing tools

• Resource must be eligible to get public trust clearance.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Experience with government contracting is preferred, especially with the FDA.

• Experience with ServiceNow implementations.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $60,300.00 - $133,500.00.
