ASR Group/Domino Sugar Process Supervisor in Baltimore, Maryland

OVERVIEW

The Process Supervisor is responsible for management of unionized workers in the manufacture of food products (sugar).

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct sugar refining operations on designated shift.

  • Direct teams of specialized employees ensuring good manufacturing practices, GMP and safe operating procedures.

  • Achieve standard production volume, quality standards, and regulatory compliance through the supervision of hourly personnel (up to 30) on rotating shifts.

  • Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful supervisory experience in a food or pharmaceutical production environment

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food or chemical industry

  • Industrial food processing experience preferred

  • Knowledge of proper operation of Affirmation & Melting, Carbonatation, Char & Carbon Filtration, Boiling of White, Remelt & Soft Sugar, Spinning of White, Soft, and Recovery sugars, Conditioning and Drying of white sugars, Liquid sugar manufacturing

  • Ability to achieve results through subordinates in an organized labor environment

  • Ability to work effectively with subordinates, peers, and supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, ability to be proactive and self-directed

  • Must be physically able to navigate throughout the manufacturing area

  • Be in good physical condition and available for rotating shifts and weekend work

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be able to operate a computer

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • College Degree in Engineering or a related science, or equivalent military experience

LOCATION

  • Baltimore, MD

SALARY PAY RANGE: $61,000 - $114,000 plus bonus

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
