Summary
Perdue AgriBusiness, LLC, has an immediate opening for a Grain Support Clerk at our facility in Sparrows Point, MD .
This position is responsible for providing clerical support for the Grain Facility and Perdue AgriBusiness organization.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Audit and perform contract maintenance regarding open balances, closing balances, rolls etc. for designated area.
Provide Grain accounting support to auditing and corrective grain tickets to ensure they are priced to open contracts; collecting and entering inventory adjustments in SMARTsoft; setting up new customers and vendors; providing settlement sheets and ticket detail reports to customers and vendors, enter contracts for designated area.
Updates customer, vendor, and sub-contractor files. Maintains files, invoices, directives, and records.
Complete data entry into Velocity as well as assist and maintain safety programs.
Provide customer support to include answering telephones, working with customers on account information, and making edits.
Performs data entry for grain transactions and scale tickets.
Collect, inspect and test grain samples using automated or manual grain probe and other equipment as required.
Work with Merchandising and traders with the purchase and sales of commodity products; troubleshoot and resolve accounts receivable issues.
Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.
Perform other task as assigned by management.
Minimum Education
High School or equivalent
Associate’s degree in Business Management, Agriculture or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
3 -5 years related experience.
Knowledge of standard software applications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.
