Description

Do you have a passion for programming and experience working with Banner ERP systems? Are you excited to contribute to an ongoing project building new features within the Banner portal? We are seeking a talented and motivated programmer to join our client's team in Baltimore, MD!

As a Banner Programmer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the university's Banner ERP system by collaborating with our team to build and implement new features within the Banner portal. You will leverage your expertise in Banner development, SQL queries, and programming languages like C# to create efficient and user-friendly solutions that streamline processes and improve functionality for our campus community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and debug Banner programs and scripts.

  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Design and implement new features within the Banner portal, ensuring user-friendliness and accessibility.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and end-users.

  • Write and maintain clear and concise documentation for developed programs and functionalities.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in Banner development and related fields.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience programming with Banner ERP systems (experience with Banner 9 preferred).

  • Proficiency in SQL queries and scripting languages.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts (Java, C# preferred).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach.

  • Experience working in a higher education environment preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Background check and drug screening required.

  • This is an on-site position located in Baltimore, MD.

  • On-site parking available.

  • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM work schedule.
