Johns Hopkins University Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor in Baltimore, Maryland

As part of a strategic investment for a transformative expansion of the faculty of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University is poised for significant growth in the coming years. We invite applications for tenured and tenure-track appointments at any rank. In the initial phase, beginning in 2024, we are especially interested in junior candidates who work in the areas of Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, and senior candidates who specialize in Microeconomic Theory and Microeconometrics. We anticipate making up to three appointments in this cycle, as the department continues its forward momentum.

All appointees at the Associate and Full Professor level are expected to be preeminent experts in their field, while appointees at the Assistant Professor level should be on the trajectory to become leaders in their fields. All candidates should be committed to both research and teaching excellence. All appointees are expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level.

The expected academic base salary range for an Assistant Professor position is: $184,500 - 209,000.

The expected academic base salary range for an Associate or Full professor position is: $240,000 - 437,000.

The referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate - e.g., years in rank, training, field, discipline, other work experience, and other similar factors; geographic location; internal equity; external market conditions; and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
