Job Description

AECOM’s Water Business Line is looking for an Asset Management Project Manager for our growing Asset Management practice, with a focus on water, wastewater and stormwater utilities. The Asset Management Project Manager will work with Asset Management professionals in our group, as well as have access to AECOM's extensive pool of talent in other disciplines including engineering, condition assessment and technology solutions.

Summary:

  • Build relationships with internal and external clients, regulatory bodies, policy developers, vendors, and contractors

  • Manage multiple projects focused on asset management, condition assessment, technology services or related services.

  • Manage of project budgets and schedules, as well as the preparation of written reports for clients and senior executives

  • Adapt/respond to changes in client expectations

  • Provide technical oversight and lead or support interdisciplinary review of project deliverables

  • Utilize of data collection technologies and methodologies

  • Document client asset management business processes and capabilities

  • Develop asset inventories and asset management plans

  • Analyze asset inventories to determine the impact of alternative funding levels on state-of-good-repair backlog, condition, reliability, and operating & maintenance cost

  • Integrate of analytical results into client financial plans

  • Conduct, document, and communicate consulting assignments or tasks to a high professional standard

  • Contribute to overall engagement profitability and performance

  • Deliver of timely and quality services that meet or exceed team manager’s and client’s expectations

  • Participate in professional organizations relevant to the asset management market

  • Support development of capital improvement programs scenarios based on conditions, budget, and priorities of clients

  • Utilize asset management plans, and/or transit asset management plans, asset management or state of good repair decision support tools

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field + 4 years of related experience in infrastructure asset management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience in utility infrastructure asset management (vertical and horizontal infrastructure)

  • Due to nature of work involved, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management skills within infrastructure asset management

  • Familiarity with the management of the entire life cycle—including design, construction, commissioning, operating, maintaining, repairing, modifying, replacing and decommissioning/disposal—of physical and infrastructure assets

  • IAM Certification or Diploma

  • Experience with asset management and CMMS software (e.g., Cityworks Agile, Maximo, Cartegraph, etc.)

  • Experience with Esri GIS products and solutions

  • Previous experience managing Asset Management projects and/or staff

  • Experience with BIM

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external clients, regulatory bodies, policy developers, vendors, and contractors

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage both risks and opportunities

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $140,000.00.
