Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) is a division of the Johns Hopkins University's Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. As part of the nation's first research university, AAP offers high-quality master's degrees and certificate programs at its Washington, D.C., Center, at JHU's Homewood Campus in Baltimore, Maryland, and online. AAP enrolls almost 6,000 students each academic year in over 45 programs and distinguishes itself through its intensive instructional assistance, selective admissions, and 60 dedicated full-time faculty. Position description

The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) division seeks non-tenure-track adjunct faculty to teach courses within the MA in Film and Media. Of particular interest are candidates who have experience engaging students from diverse backgrounds. We are looking for faculty who have experience in editing. Minimum Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in any relevant field, with a master's degree at minimum.

  • Or at least three years of professional work experience with editing: film, media, television or other major content.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • A terminal degree in a relevant field related to Film and Media.

  • 1-3 years of higher education teaching experience.

  • Experience in developing graduate courses (helpful but not necessary).

  • Experience in one or more of the following preferred:

  • Editing film, media, television or other major content.

  • Experience with industry professional editing workflows.

  • Experience with physical production.
