Location: Mostly REMOTE (Position is mostly remote, however there are some occasions that the candidate would be required to come onsite at Penn Medicine Bala Cynwyd- 2 Bala Plaza)

Summary :

  • The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the successful on-boarding of new hires and internal transfers. They are the main point of contact during the onboarding process and will support the completion of all required onboarding contingencies. The Staffing Coordinator must provide a high level of customer service at all times to their client group, which consists of new hires, internal transfers, and co-workers.

Responsibilities :

  • Complete the onboarding process, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Conduct a welcome call to review the onboarding process and requirements

  • Schedule an Occupational Medicine appointment, which includes a drug screen

  • Initiate a background screen and monitor the results to ensure compliance

  • Ensure that all pertinent certifications, licenses and legal requirements detailed in an individual’s job description are verified

  • If the background screening vendor cannot verify a component of the background verification, such as education or employment, the Staffing Coordinator will take all possible steps to complete the verification themselves to avoid a delay in an individual’s scheduled start date

  • Proactively communicate possible problems, issues and delays that may delay an individual’s scheduled start date

  • Ensure all onboarding files are appropriated filed, saved and uploaded to the workforce management system

  • Provide service recovery when necessary due to lapses in service or delays in results

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

  • Associate of Arts or Science (Preferred)

  • Healthcare Experience (Preferred)

  • 1+ years Human Resources experience (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations and processes (Preferred)
