JACO OIL COMPANY JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary: The Remodel Construction Technician is part of a multi-faceted project team responsible for performing a variety of tasks for general commercial tenant improvement and constructions projects related to all aspects of retail gas station convenience stores: Underground Storage tanks, building and site work. This person is the hands-on worker and potentially a lead person at construction sites to help build, repair and maintain structures and infrastructure. This role involves physical labor, operation of machinery and adherence to safety protocols.

A successful candidate for this position should have skills and experience in multiple construction areas including:

• electrical, plumbing, grading and concrete, framing (wood and steel), roofing, lighting, interior and exterior finishes.

Additionally, familiarity in the following areas is desired:

• Blue Print reading
• Drawing reading
• Material planning and requisition
• Project Planning
• Able to pass International Code Council Underground Storage Tank exam certification
• Awareness of California Electric Code approved wiring methods
• General awareness of multiple trades:

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, climbing ladders and working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to travel and work out of town as needed
• Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery
• Heavy equipment experience is a plus
• Strong technical inclination and problem-solving skills
• Time management, planning, and work prioritization skills
• Results Oriented with attention to detail
• Understanding of safe work practices
• Team collaboration - works effectively with other construction workers and supervisors to achieve project goals efficiently
• Valid Drivers License
• Able to pass pre-employment drug testing

Pay: DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
