How you make a difference

The Medical Records Clerk ensures the accurate organization and maintenance of health records, playing a critical role in supporting quality care and regulatory compliance. By managing an approved records system, this position helps ensure that patient information is securely stored, easily accessible, and up-to-date. If you're detail-oriented and passionate about contributing to a well-functioning healthcare environment, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Confidentiality : Ensure confidentiality of all medical and mental health records and handle forms for the release of information.

• Records Management : Ensure all medical and mental health-related records filing is accurate and up to date.

• Report Preparation : Prepare and type reports and correspondence as requested.

• Statistical Reporting : Assist in preparing periodic statistical reports and fulfilling management information system requirements.

• Quality Improvement : Actively promote quality improvement standards by participating in quality-of-care screen audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Preferred: Training in an accredited medical record program.

• Preferred: One (1) year experience in an established medical record system (EMR).
