Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Supervises, provides direction and coordinates the activities of fabrication craft workers. Conveys company policies to workers and enforces safety rules and regulations. Surveys blueprint drawings to determine work procedures. Determines labor support and operating equipment needs, based on schedule and volume of work. Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet production schedule.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values".

Works well with craft, supervision and client.
Coordinate employee work/activities and ensure all craftsman are working at an acceptable productivity level for their classification and experience level.
Ensure all production schedules are achieved.
Maintain Safety accountability.
Assure that a high quality of work is being maintained.
Complete daily timecards and assist with any discrepancies.
Perform daily toolbox safety meeting, maintain minutes and ensure signatures are obtained when required.
Manage permits and lock out tag out procedures.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Complete disciplinary reports and employee recognitions as needed.
Complete Craft Employee Evaluations
Ability to address employee concerns and follow up with Management as needed.
Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1-5 years of foreman experience
5+ years of experience as a fitter welder or machine operator/ burn operator in steel fabrication industry
Good communication skills both verbal and with a computer.
Knowledge of how to access Safety, Health and Environmental information.
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Knowledge of how to operate and troubleshoot all fabrication equipment
Expert knowledge in understanding how to utilize various blue print drawings
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information, such as codes (ASME, API-650-620)
Strong supervisory skills to manage numerous craft workers
Basic computer skills; working knowledge of scheduling/tracking materials and completed parts utilizing various software packages
Ability to read tape measures.
Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.
Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment.
Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.
The essential job functions and duties outlined in this position are considered safety sensitive.
Obtain and maintain an active status within the drug testing program.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.
Hiring range: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
