Salary/Wage: Workers will be paid no less than $18.73 per hour with at least 35 hours per week. The worker may be offered more than the stated hours per day, depending on weather and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. Work on Saturday may be required when necessary.

Job Description: Landscape Laborer. 6 Temporary/Full-time seasonal positions available with Sunflower Lawn and Landscape LLC from 04/01/2025-11/01/2025. Duties include Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Performs a variety of task, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, pruning, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and instillation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall unit. The job will require the worker to: gather and remove litter; use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes; powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, or rototillers; water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans; prune or trim ground-level trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws; spray or spread commercial fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders; care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls ; follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage; trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds; attach wires from planted trees to support stakes; plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools; mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers; rake, mulch, and compost leaves; decorate gardens with stones or plants; provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features; Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring; maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning; install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, planters, or playground equipment; haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place; dispose of trash or waste materials from site; plan or cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens; clean facilities or sites to ensure that all waste and litter is placed in proper receptacles and all tools, equipment, and supplies are organized and stored properly; remove debris from work sites; build forms and mix and pour cement to form garden borders. Worker will be exposed to weather, outdoors, noise, hot/cold temperatures and will need to wear common protective/safety equipment. The job will require the worker to have attention to detail and integrity, and be thorough in completing work tasks, cooperative, and responsible. Entry level; Requires supervision. No minimum education or work experience required. The job will require the worker to perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a driver's license.
