Modivcare Transportation Director in Austin, Texas

This position is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining a compliant, effective and efficient Transportation Provider Network in their assigned market(s). In addition, has operational responsibility for the management and successful leadership of all programs across their market(s).

In this position, you will...

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for transportation providers.

  • Prepare regular reports on provider performance, compliance, and network health for presentation to the VP of Transportation and leadership team regularly.

  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues and concerns transportation providers raise.

  • Facilitate the resolution of problems, disputes, or operational challenges.

  • Provide guidance and support to transportation providers in areas such as compliance, operational procedures, and digital platforms.

  • Monitor and assess the quality of transportation services provided by Transportation Providers (TPs) to ensure they meet established standards and address any quality issues promptly.

  • Ensure delivery and review of the provider performance reviews.

  • Manage provider relations efforts across multiple markets, ensuring consistency and alignment with regional objectives.

  • Collaborate with the centralized VP of Provider Relations team to develop and execute network expansion strategies.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies related to transportation services, including the identification and mitigation of potential liability issues.

  • Maintain responsibility for overall safety, compliance, quality, performance, member experience, and people development in their regions.

  • Ensure that provider credentialing policies and standards are followed rigorously.

  • Collaborate with credentialing teams to streamline processes and maintain compliance.

  • Work with key business partners such as Safety, Network Planning, Product, Finance, IT, HR, and CI to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.

  • Provide oversight of corrective action plan administrations for transportation provider contract deficiencies and approves liquidated damages as appropriate.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, and use this knowledge to inform strategic decisions.

  • Foster positive employee engagement and a culture of self-led development.

  • Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.

  • Create an environment of innovation and continuous improvement by embracing new technology and ideas from the teams.

  • Drive vision for the team, along with creating quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives.

  • Hire and develop top talent.

  • Create and implement a talent plan for each state report, including talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement.

  • May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Travel requirement of 50% to meet with transportation providers, attend industry events, and visit various markets.

  • Determine appropriate resourcing of staff in order to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Build an effective leadership team through mentoring and formal education that focuses on management and project management principles.

  • Define annual Key Performance Indicators aligned with corporate goals.

  • Direct and mentor leaders on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies.

  • Direct and coach leaders on all human resource related processes including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation and rewards.

  • Accountable for collective results and recognizing others’ contributions and share credit for success.

  • Own attainment of high employee satisfaction and retention; lead development of program and initiatives within group to attain high employee satisfaction.

  • Lead change management initiatives to drive improvements and efficiencies.

  • Ability to interact collaboratively and communicate effectively with external, internal customers, and stakeholders to address issues and ensure alignment.

  • Prepare and manage budget as assigned; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to maximize operational performance.

We are looking for someone with...

  • Ability to provide leadership support on the development, implementation and execution of all deployments, special projects or other Network Health related actions.

  • Knowledge of organizational planning, budgetary administration, and controls.

  • Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis techniques.

  • High proficiency is MS Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent provider relations management.

  • Excellent process and design improvement skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills communicating clearly and concisely with excellent presentation skills and the ability to lead meetings internally and externally.

  • Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.

  • Must possess good organizational skills.

  • Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Ten (10) plus years experience in the NEMT or Logistics services transportation preferred.

  • Five (5) plus years leadership responsibility.

  • Advanced industry experience preferred.

  • Tableau experience preferred.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Pay Range: $111,000 - $149,900 annually

    This role is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
