Project Leadership and Management:Lead and manage the full lifecycle of Academic Medical Center departmental technology projects, from scoping and planning to execution and final delivery, ensuring that objectives align with organizational and departmental goals.Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Proactively identify and mitigate risks and address issues promptly to ensure project success. Oversee the alignment and delivery of enterprise technologies from architecture/design, contracts, licenses, vendors, build/configure cycles, data migrations, integrations, testing, training, go-live, and contingency planning, and operational handoffs.Ensure all projects comply with organizational standards, business needs, and regulatory requirements.Apply project management best practices (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to achieve scalability, security, and operational excellence. Participate with the PMO Director, other Project Managers, and the Office of the CTO for total portfolio management, road mapping, planning, and reporting to stakeholders.Departmental Technologies, Solutions Design, and Implementation:Collaborate with the Office of the CTO, Cybersecurity, and IT technical teams to design, plan, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.Ensure technology solutions support the healthcare, academic, and research needs of the institution while ensuring smooth transitions during upgrades, migrations, and technology implementations.Work with IT and business leaders across healthcare, medical education, and research to apply best practices that ensure department-level technology solutions are operationally efficient, secure, and compliant with healthcare regulations.Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:Serve as the primary liaison for clinical, research, and educational stakeholders, along with technology and business leadership.Facilitate clear communication across departments, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders, and drive change management efforts to ensure the successful adoption of new systems.Foster collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with both technical and business objectives.Vendor and Resource Management:Manage relationships with external product vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to contractual terms (SLAs).Effectively allocate and manage internal and external resources to ensure optimal project delivery.Participate in relevant technology procurement, contracting, licensing, and budget management processes to ensure effective use of organizational resources.Optimization and Support:Benchmark, monitor, and evaluate project outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement.Facilitate the handoff of implemented technologies to operational support teams, ensuring operational success and compliance with service agreements.Maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure that all project milestones, decisions, and changes are accurately recorded.Change Management and Process Improvement:Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth implementation of new technologies, systems, and processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure readiness and adoption of new IT infrastructure solutions.Continuously evaluate and refine project processes to optimize outcomes, improve performance, and increase efficiency.Primary Contacts:Project sponsors, executive leadership, and department headsIT architects, engineers, analysts, and infrastructure teamsCross-functional teams from clinical, educational, and research departmentsExternal vendors and service providersRegulatory and compliance officers.
