YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQs Office of Air, you would contribute to protecting and restoring Texas air quality. This position is a member of our Air Permits Division. See details about what we do KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience in advanced level IT support such as hardware/software, operating systems, and applications. Experience writing, trouble shooting, and resolving issues with program code. Experience in application development or system and application design. Experience in Customer service in a fast-paced environment. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Lead and participate in the design, development, and implementation of highly advanced information systems, projects, and streamlining initiatives to support the Air Permits Division (APD) business and technical processes and information management systems. Documents business needs and requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Develop programs based on knowledge and skill in the application of air permitting and information engineering techniques and procedure. Manage procedural and support documentation for APD information systems and validates workflows on proposed changes to procedure. Prepare and supervise the preparation of support documentation used to generate the development and execution of information systems. Routes projects to the appropriate personnel for completion. Provide technical support to staff in the use of division and related agency information systems. Communicates the applicability of federal and state requirements and procedure related to division and agency information engineering processes and programs to internal and external customers as applicable. Analyze information systems and procedure for efficiency and effectiveness and provide recommendations for managements consideration. Train and mentors staff in maintaining division and related agency information systems. Plan, assign, and supervise the work of others as required. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Six years of full-time experience in systems administration, business process analysis and modeling, application development or system and application design. OR A master's degree from an accredited college or university, or technical college with a major in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics or a related field plus three years of the required experience. OR A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or technical college with a major in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics or a related field plus four years of the required experience. OR Completion of 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics or a related field plus five years of the required experience.
