YOUR FUTURE TEAMAs part of TCEQs Office of Water, you would contribute to ensuring clean and available water and protecting Texas water resources. See details about what we do. This position is a member of our Water Supply Division. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING...As a part of the Plan and Technical Review Section, our Engineer will play a key role in achieving TCEQs mission. You would use your skills and experience to:Conduct in office and/or on-site engineering and technical reviews, analyses, quality control and evaluations of routine to moderately complex information from internal and external customers to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; and follow up with appropriate actions.Provide information and engineering assistance concerning requests and submittals from public water systems to internal and external customers through verbal communication, email, correspondence, meetings, on-site assistance, and presentations.Provide customer service to internal and external customers related to the agencys drinking water program through verbal and written communication, correspondence, reports, meetings, presentations, and responses to Public Information Requests (PIRs). Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE Engineer ITexas Professional Engineers license. Engineer IITexas Professional Engineers license plus one year of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure.Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher. ORCareer Ladder Progression: One year of full-time experience at TCEQ as an Engineer I. Engineer IIITexas Professional Engineers license plus two years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure. Qualifying work experience includes that obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.
