**[Staff Manufacturing Controls Engineer (Multiple Positions), Tesla, Inc., Austin, TX: [Develop programming standards for PLC and automated systems. Responsible for equipment performance maintaining all equipment programs. Serve as Shop Lead for all projects and installations in connection with control systems for production equipment. Support and assist maintenance team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures. Provide mechanical engineering controls subject matter expertise to IT department for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) development and implementation (product information tracking). Oversee maintenance, electrical and PLC projects and verify proper documentation. Instruct and manage supplier and equipment buyoffs. Conduct risk assessments and implement finding. Perform complex HMI programming and system development. Generate and develop electrical drawings. Review and acquire electrical drawings from contractors.

[Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

**[MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: [Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent), and eight (8) years of experience as a Manufacturing Controls Engineer or in a related role involving PLC program development, controls systems, automation and database systems or a combination thereof. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent), and six (6) years of experience as a Manufacturing Controls Engineer or in a related role involving PLC program development, controls systems, automation and database systems or a combination thereof.

[Experience must include: IDRA Die Cast Equipment; Industrial equipment controls, interfaces, and communication protocols; PLC programming, troubleshooting, and configuration; Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms; HMI programming; Robot programming, backup and restoration; CAD; Automotive manufacturing; and Developing electrical schematics using ACAD. Up to 25% of domestic and international travel.
