JOB DESCRIPTION:Performs advanced consultative services and technical assistance work related to the voter registration responsibilities of the Elections Division. Work involves planning, developing, and managing voter registration information and resources and providing consultative services and technical assistance to election staff, government agencies, and election and party officials. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Provides efficient, professional and courteous customer support to election officials, government agencies, legislative offices, and the general public. Plans, coordinates, and manages election identification events including scheduling, coordination with other agencies, staffing, and publicity. Maintains inventory of all necessary computer equipment and resources. Creates, updates, and maintains all voter registration training related to other government agencies serving as voter registration agencies in compliance with state law. Plans, prepares, and publishes voter registration information for government agencies serving as voter registration agencies on the internet website. Reviews, in conjunction with the legal team, all submitted voter registration plans from agencies serving as voter registration agencies. Assists with the preparation and dissemination of website information and voter registration materials. Creates surveys, compile data, and analyze reports. Measures the effectiveness of training efforts through input from stakeholders. Manages request for voter registration applications and information from voter registrars and the general public. Monitors all voter registration application web-based requests and provides technical support to users. Assists division with the development of training materials and additional resources. Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-to-year basis. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe applications.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of the election process at the local, county and state levels.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects and to meet critical deadlines. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers daily as well as in crisis situations. Ability to provide solutions to problems. Ability to analyze data and pay close attention to detail. Experience in providing clear instructions to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Experience with public speaking before both small and large groups. Skill in the scripting and editing of materials for publication. Ability to work independently and operate effectively within established guidelines. Ability to work as a member of a team and be an effective team player.
