Job Profile Summary

We are seeking a Solution Architecture Team Leader to lead a team of solution architects, and provide consulting services across various IT Services.  This position will be full-time and remote.

What You’ll Do

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of solution architects, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment

  • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the team

  • Participate in recruiting

  • Manage staff on-boarding / off-boarding

Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements

  • Develop comprehensive solution architectures that align with client objectives and industry best practices

  • Oversee the creation of detailed design documentation, including system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and integration plans

Client Engagement and Consulting:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert recommendations and strategic insights

  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations with clients to gather requirements and present solutions

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction

Project Management:

  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements

  • Develop Ballpark Estimates to inform decision-making

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution architecture and implementation

Technical Expertise:

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on complex architectural challenges

  • Drive innovation by exploring new tools, frameworks, and methodologies

  • Manage policy/security audits of software, platforms, and infrastructure hosted by third parties

  • Oversee the annual assessment of the health of applications supported by the CAI team

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, infrastructure admins, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership

  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 10+ years of IT experience

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience leading technical staff

  • Excellent written and oral communication

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
