CACI has an outstanding opportunity for a Software Developer who wants to make a difference in the defense of the nation by applying their tradecraft and experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment in support of the Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR). We are seeking an individual to join an innovative and motivated team developing and fielding a mission critical system in support of NAVAIR.

What You’ll Get to Do:

As an experienced software developer for this project, you will collaborate with the engineering team to support the development, integration, testing, fielding, administration, operations, and maintenance activities that are critical to the mission operations of the platform and ground segment. You will develop, integrate, test, configure, deploy, and maintain software capabilities that are operated on Windows and Red Hat Linux environments. You will interface with the engineering team, end-users, and industry partners to troubleshoot and resolve technical system issues.

More About the Role:

  • Analyze architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces

  • Provide detailed software specifications and designs for proposed solutions

  • Develop software capabilities to ensure software application is functioning nominally

  • Perform software and system integration and testing functions

  • Support the definition and implementation of software architectures for new capabilities

  • Interface with the customer to understand new requirements to support mission objectives

  • Analyze and assess software architectures for potential improvement for legacy products

  • Support development team members in developing features and user stories for software development activities

  • Use development tools to update tasks and stories, check-in, and version control

  • Develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system design and development issues, or network concerns.

  • Implement and configure software applications on IT infrastructure systems, where virtualization technologies are leveraged as well as bare metal installs

  • Manage, configure, and update Red Hat Linux operating systems

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizen

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or 5+ years of software development experience with C#, C++, and/or Java

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and testing.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Master’s degree in an engineering or related discipline

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Applicable DoD8140 certifications, such as Security+ Strong knowledge of Routing Protocol Configurations, Standard Access-list, Extended Access-list configuration, OSI 7 Layer Model, IPv4 and IPv6, DNS, DHCP

  • Experience with VMware environments

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$74,600-$156,700
